The next meeting of the School Employees Health Care Board and its Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Ohio School Boards Association.
The agenda includes a discussion about best practice standards and next steps for their implementation. Administrative issues relating to the board, advisory committee and staff also will be discussed.
The nine-member School Employees Health Care Board is appointed to study the ways of improving the health care benefits for K-12 public school employees.
The Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee is an 18-member body appointed to advise the board.
Prior to the joint meeting, the Best Practices Committee will meet from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. This committee consists of three board members and six advisory committee members who are developing best practice standards for school district health care benefits.
